What are the Youth Olympics?
The Youth Olympics are an international, multi-sport event for youth ages 14-18. The Youth games are basically the same as the normal Olympics and are organized by the same association. The Summer Youth Olympics involve around 3,600 athletes, 1,500 officials, and 20,000 volunteers. 25,000 people in all, not to mention the support of the citizens of the host city and nation.
The first Summer Youth Olympics took place in Singapore in 2010, and was extremely well received.
